After forming the thick ceramic shell, we will heat the wax mold subsequently until the wax completely melts out. And voila, you have a hollow ceramic mold that is ready for the next step! We put this mold in a super-hot oven until it is smoking hot. When it gets hot enough, we pour the hot metal into the mold. It makes its way into the empty space within the mold and forms around the original wax shape.
